No news is not always good.

Mallory's CT showed that her Adrenal Tumor is getting larger. This could mean that the Nueroblastoma is not responding to treatment or that as it's dying it's getting bigger and pooling with blood.

We do not know anything right now. This kills us.

Her doctor is currently waiting for the surgeon to get back to him to let us know if it's possible to do a biopsy on the tumor. We are waiting on this phone call right now.

He also explained that there is some activity in the liver, what this means we are not sure but they will be watching it carefully from now on. Treatment is on hold until we are given the consultation with the surgeon on where to go from here. Which will include more waiting.

The more waiting that we do the more sick to our stomachs we get. Our poor girl has been through ENOUGH and this just adds more tests, more chemo, more everything. Seriously? Seriously? Why? Why? Why?

The only good news today is that Mallory finally rolled all the way over. She's getting bigger.

  2. I'm so sorry about today. I have been praying so hard for Mallory, and continue to do so. I can't understand why she has to go through all this, why? I wish I had answers. It's so unfair. I am going to try to think that the news will get better, and this dark day too shall pass. Keep us posted, for so many people from all over are praying, thinking, and supporting beautiful Mallory in this fight.

  7. I know of sweet baby Mallory through a friend. I believe in the power of prayer. I will continue to pray for Mallory and for God to work a healing miracle in her body. Will pray for strength for you (Ryan and Ashley) to grab hold of the Rock and not let go. God will provide. Celebrate Mallory's roll-over today...a gift and blessing!

  8. OK- let's think- Maybe it's not bad news. Maybe the blood pooling thing in the dead tumor will turn out to be what's up, and will be good because the tumor is dying. I have checked this blog about 20 times since yesterday, and have been so worried. The bottom line is that they don't know- I guess that's why they want a biopsy. Maybe it will be a dead or dying cancer. Maybe just maybe she'll catch a break. I am praying hard- real hard for you all Apparently Miss Mallory doesn't realize she's got a problem. She's as strong as a bull, and doing what babies do- Next she'll be sitting up looking at you. Hang in, think positive, and try to calm down. I know it's easier said then done, but try to .

  9. I am so sorry you did not get the news you hoped for but as you also pointed out she is growing and that is good. I still believe God has a plan and in the end his plan is always best. Even if we can't see that at the moment. Continue to hope and cherish all the good things no matter how small. We will continue to wrap you in prayers and good thoughts.
